About Us

Welcome to Spring’s Petal Garden

Hi there, I’m so glad you’re here.

My husband, Damon, and I are both from a little town in Northeast Texas called Paris. It’s where we grew up, went to school together, and where my story with flowers first began; long before I realized how big a part they would play in my life.

As a little girl, some of my sweetest memories were spent at my Grandma Flowers’s house. Her garden was full of roses, irises, and hydrangeas—each one more beautiful than the last. I’d sneak out and pick them, tucking them into an old piece of Tupperware or a glass jar to take home. She’d scold me playfully, “I know you’re out there in my rosebush again—just look at your arm!” And like clockwork, my grandpa would come to my rescue with his trusty pocket knife, the one he used to whittle with, and gently cut me a few blooms. He was always my biggest fan.

My mom’s mother also had a yard lined with roses and towering sunflowers—so tall I used to wonder if they’d reach the sky.

Another fond memory was my great-grandmother, Granny Ford, as she lived across the street from a park in Paris, Wade’s Park. Every visit, I’d slip away to explore the park and eventually wander down to a little florist shop at the end of the block. I later learned it was Harvey Florist—my future husband’s grandmother’s shop. The back door was always propped open, with a box fan buzzing in the doorway, and I’d just stand there in awe, watching her work. I can’t recall us exchanging much, but her arrangements spoke volumes to me. Sometimes, she’d hand me a little flower cutting, and off I’d skip, back to Granny’s with joy in my heart.

To say that flowers have been a lifelong fascination would be an understatement. They’ve always been part of me—part of my family, part of my story. Fittingly, my maiden name is Flowers, which has made for more than a few fun conversations over the years.

Today, Damon and I live on a farm we bought in 2009, full of life, color, and love. We have horses, chickens, dogs, cats, flower beds, blooming bushes, water features, a live stream, and trees we’ve planted together across the property. I never dreamed it would become my schoolgirl fairytale—but here we are, slowly building a real flower farm and living out a dream we didn’t even know we had.

We’ve been blessed beyond measure to share this little slice of heaven with family, friends, and now, our grandchildren—our most treasured blessings. Flowers have healed me, carried me through the darkest days, and continue to fill our home with beauty and light. You’ll always find fresh-cut blooms on our kitchen windowsill and in pretty vases around our home; flowers change a room, uplift a mood, and spark connections.

It’s my dream to create a walk-through garden where others can come and experience the same joy that’s shaped my life. A place to slow down, breathe in the aroma, and soak in the magic of color, memory, and renewal.

We’d love for you to come visit Spring’s Petal Garden—and experience the beauty for yourself.
